Ruwer
The winegrowers who currently live and work in the Ruwer valley are maintaining a wine culture that stretches back over 2,000 years. The Mediterranean climate and slate soil are the perfect conditions for cultivating Riesling (white wine). This is a landscape forged by the contrasts offered by deep valleys and low mountain range peaks. There is even an example of a spring moor, which have become very rare in Germany, in the form of the Weyrichsbruch.
